Tony Clarke’s passion for rural life in Britain is evident from his beautiful paintings which depict farming scenes and the landscapes of both Scotland, where he now lives and his native Northern England.
Originally from Lancashire and having lived and worked in Yorkshire and Cumbria, he now lives in rural Dumfriesshire with his wife Kath, daughter Charlotte and son Rob. Their home is a converted byre in the heart of Ae Forest.
Tony’s other skills running his own building company certainly came in useful when turning what was a ruin into their present home which also contains his studio. Tony has painted all his life and has been inspired by the stunning landscapes of both northern England and Scotland. He now concentrates solely on his career as a professional artist.
